How We Price Our Comfort Food
Inflation & the wildly fluctuating cost of raw food & ingredients has forced us to update menu prices each week. This is the same pricing model employed by grocery stores. The cost of each menu item rises or falls depending on that week’s wholesale cost.
We keep our guests informed on these changes by publishing the numbers in a report attached to the back of the Dixie Bones menu.
We work hard to keep our prices as low as possible. Our vendors must bid on every item in order for us to get the best prices. We pickup items at Sam's & Restaurant Depot. When the market seems right on pork and ribs - our two biggest items - we take contract positions with our meat vendor, Wichita Packing in Chicago.
The prices for our various specials and Sunday buffet remain constant & only change periodically.
