Description of Event
The Patriot Cruise and Salute brought together approximately 100 service members and their families for a day designed to honor their sacrifice and service. The itinerary included tranquil boat cruises along the Potomac River, followed by an afternoon of games, face painting, and camaraderie. The challenge was to transform this riverside setting into a hospitable space that could quickly and efficiently serve a hungry crowd of 100 after their time on the water.
Dixie Bones BBQ met this challenge by setting up a robust, self-service buffet that showcased our commitment to freshness. We arrived on-site to freshly chop our signature pork and chicken barbecue, ensuring that every guest enjoyed the smoky, tender quality we are known for. Our menu featured homestyle classics, including hearty baked beans, creamy macaroni & cheese, crisp coleslaw, and fresh buns, all paired with our house sauces. To complete the festive atmosphere, we served sweet chocolate chip cookies alongside refreshing pink lemonade and iced tea.
